Stumbling across Steve's blog and this guestbook have broken my heart. The tragic tumbling of grief like dominos set off by a drunk driver has never seemed so galactically incongruent with how the world should be. Having each other, I imagine, is the only way you both are able to breathe. Condolences and sympathies sound so empty when I see photos of Steve with the twinkle in his eye missing. I have two sons now 19 and 21...I cannot imagine the grief or the effort it must take just to exist. I cannot imagine Jodi's anguish for all of you. I could never have imagined this for you when you were young, bright, and so full of love for each other and life. Love will find a way...Maggie

I am sorry for your loss, however, her story must be shared to demonstrate the terrible effects of drinking and driving. I am taking a Health Psychology course at my University, I along with my group members are presenting on Substance Abuse. Rachel will help represent the lives lost to this terrible act. God Bless. Today marks 5 years since Rachel was killed by a drunk driver. There are no words to convey how our lives have been permanently altered since Rachel was tragically killed, really for sake of a drink. We are so grateful for everyone who has visited Rachel's memorial website. Thank you for all the love and support.

This GORGEOUS summer day is a perfect day to celebrate the birthday of such a special young lady. Lyssie sent out a message on Facebook, telling Rachel that she still misses her always. I know she watches over all of us, and rejoices with the happy times, and weeps for the sad times.....Your family is in our thoughts with great affection and warmth today, and every day.....
