Im very, very, very sorry for your loss. . I hope all of you guys are doing ok. I lost my grandma to a drunk-driver. He fled the seen with no remorse for what he had done. Eventually police got'em, he's done his justice. I never really got to see my Grandma because we lived in different states, EXTREMELY hard for my family. I couldn't seem to understand, I wanted to just make that man feel the pain that i had endoured..but no matter what I do, i'll never have my sweet, precious grandma back. R.I.P. Rachel&Grandma

This was no accident that I came across your site. I to LOST my son Scott,because of a Drunk Driver! His LIFE was Taken from Us...same as Your Beautiful Daughter! There are No Words to describe!! It has been 13yrs since Our World was turned upside down..Scott had just gotten married.35 days before he was Taken from Our Life's. 5 days after his 23rd Birthday..Scotts LIFE was ENDED all because of a DRUNK DRIVER! You see he came Home to Us 5 days after his DEATH..when we went to identify Our SON ...when the coffin was opened Scott was in his dress blues,his whole head was gauzed and covered with a plastic bag! Scott had to be identified by a tattoo.I had not seen my Son in 2 and a half yrs...until his coffin.He had been decap...you know what I mean? So the way I look at Life now is We ...as in YOUR family and Mine,know what HELL is like,WE have Lived it!!! Its been a long road & ONLY by the Grace of GOD...without him I would be in the ground right beside My SON.When I tell YOU I'm soooo Sorry for the BIG piece of YOUR HEART that was TAKEN from YOU...I know YOUR PAIN...I Feel YOUR PAIN...WE Lost a BIG part of US..as Parents, WE Lost OUR Children!! We just lost a loved one to a drunk driver. It was my cousin's husband they were only married 3 months when he was killed. Very sad.. I thank you for your website.. This is such a horrible tragedy, but know that the story of Rachel's life and unfortunate and untimely death continues to touch people and hopefully, has caused some people to think twice before doing something so stupid. Very very sad though, I pray for her friends and family who must still be mourning this terrible loss.

At least someone knows what it looks like down here from a place called heaven! You did an amazing thing supporting a group against drunk driving. God is always with you and you are an amazing person. But now you are a guardian angel for the family who loves you, you are there to keep an eye on them :)

I was reading the blog today about the outcome of Elvia Diaz's case and the fact she an emergency medical technician. She really was ignorant about the dangers of driving under the influence of alcohol which I am sure she had many times before decided to drive drunk herself that night and took beautiful Rachel's life. It's all over everywhere on TV, movie theaters before a show before holidays mostly aimed at the younger audiences, and the internet. I always have a plan when want to go out with friends and need to drive. I would rather look silly ordering a cherry Coke over alcoholic beverages and killing someone. I often get silly looks when I go to clubs and order sodas or coffee but I don't care what the bartenders think or the people I go with. The consequences are much worse than a few minutes of looking goofy.
